A-FRame & Ground Screws
Installation Versatility
A-Frame solar mounts allow for system installation with ground screws.
Ground screws are often favored over piles in commercial ground-mounted solar installations due to their cost-effectiveness, quicker installation time, and ability to avoid complications in rocky geology. Unlike piles, which require heavy machinery and longer installation due to the need for driving into the ground, ground screws can be installed faster with smaller equipment, reducing labor costs. They also provide a more reliable solution in areas with rocky soils, where piles may encounter refusal issues and fail to reach the necessary depth. As a result, ground screws can offer significant savings and efficiency, especially in challenging terrain.
Suntrackx
A-Frame Hardware
Vertical Solar Slew Drives
Similar to the standard SunTrackX configuration, the A-Frame design utilizes the same slew drive, with an alternative mounting bracket. This bracket maintains the same adjustability as the standard SuntrackX pile driven model.
Cast Aluminum or Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene Bearings
Similar to the standard SunTrackX configuration, the A-Frame design utilizes the same cast aluminum or UHMW Polyethylene bearings, with an alternative mounting bracket. This bracket maintains the same adjustability as the standard SuntrackX pile driven model.
Ground Screws
Unlike the standard SuntrackX pile driven option, the A-Frame allows for the installation of the SunTrackX with ground screws. In rocky or other challenging geology, ground screws can significantly reduce installation time, difficulty, and cost.
